Home library service

If you live in Brent and love to read but find it difficult to get to the library, the Home Library Service can help.

We can deliver books, CDs, DVDs, magazines and talking books to your home on a regular basis.  Friends or relatives can also collect books and other items on your behalf.

We have a good selection of books in large print for people who find ordinary print too small.  We also stock a collection of talking books - often read by famous actors and celebrities, and in many languages.

Is this you or someone you know?

  • "I used to come to the library every week but since my stroke I don't get out much."
  • "Mum gets a bit confused now and struggles getting to the library"
  • "Since my sight went, I can't read so easily."
  • "Large Print books are so heavy I can't carry them home."
  • "I would love to get to the library but I look after my wife full time so it's difficult.
  • 'I've had an operation and it will be months before I can get out and about again. As I live on my own its really difficult."
  • "My little boy is in and out of hospital. I just don't have time to get to the library for his story books. He doesn't have to miss out on his bedtime story now"

If the answer to the above is yes, please contact homelibraryservice@brent.gov.uk
